Fabric Questions, Answered
Which fabric is best for leggings and lounge apparel?
Double Brushed Poly (DBP) is our go-to for leggings, lounge pants, and soft children's apparel. It has a buttery hand feel with 4-way stretch and excellent recovery.
What fabric should I use for hair bows and headbands?
Bullet and Liverpool knits are the maker favorite for bows and head wraps. Their textured, structured surface holds a crisp bow shape without wilting.
Do you sell fabric by the yard?
Yes. 100% woven cotton is always cut to order as one continuous piece straight from the bolt. Knits are pre-cut into 1-yard pieces for rapid shipping, with continuous yardage available by special request.
Which fabrics have four-way stretch?
DBP, swim and bamboo spandex, rib knits, and most Liverpool bases offer 4-way stretch. 100% woven cotton has no stretch.
What fabric works for swimwear and activewear?
Swim and bamboo spandex is sleek, moisture-wicking, and high-stretch, making it ideal for swimwear, leotards, dancewear, and activewear.
Can I press DTF transfers at home?
Yes. Our Direct-to-Film transfers press onto cotton, poly, or blend apparel with a home heat press or a household iron, and every order ships with application instructions.
